Sustainability - a big word that conceals equally big challenges for us and the entire textile industry. Of course, it's primarily about the environment , resource-saving production processes , the ecological footprint and much more. But it's also about the people who wear our products and who make them. Higher, faster, further - that's not our thing. And fast fashion certainly isn't.

For us, sustainability is more about the small, individual steps that we have consistently taken since Nuffinz was founded, which together create a valuable whole for us. And we are a little proud that we are getting better every year. This costs time and money, but it takes us where we want to go: to long-lasting products that can be worn without any health concerns , that conserve our planet's resources and that bring real and, above all, long-lasting joy to the people who work with and for us.

The organic cotton we use is GOTS certified, which stands for "Global Organic Textile Standard" . It is the world's leading certificate for ecological and socially responsible textile production.

At Nuffinz, however, the GOTS label stands for much more than these four letters. It is part of our philosophy; an absolute must-have. Because the GOTS seal guarantees you that our fabrics consist of at least 70% organically produced natural fibers and that the entire production takes place under environmentally friendly, fair and safe working conditions .

Why is this so important to us? Because at Nuffinz we know that true quality is not only in the end product, but in every single step of the process. Our production partner Egedeniz, from whom we source our GOTS-certified organic cotton, subjects its yarns to a complex audit every year by an independent auditing commission.

If you're wondering why we at Nuffinz use GOTS-certified organic cotton - here are a few reasons.

Organically grown cotton is not only super soft and ultra comfortable . Above all, it is completely free of pesticides . The use of chemical-synthetic fertilizers and pesticides is completely prohibited when growing organic cotton plants. This means that you can wear Nuffinz products without any worries.

In addition, growing organic cotton saves one of the most precious resources we have: lots of water . While conventional cotton is a real water guzzler, the organic variety uses significantly less.

Our production partner Egedeniz and its local farmers have been using organic cotton for decades and are one of the most experienced in this field. This is demonstrated not least by the GOTS certification that our partner has received regularly for years.
